Laura Bonnetti
Laura Bonnetti was a minor character in 1995. She was an Italian exchange student who was an impulsive thrill-seeker. Her luck ran out when she was struck and killed by a train while attempting yet another daredevil stunt. She was played by Claudia Buttazzoni.

Laura was an Italian exchange student who came to stay with the Stewarts. Curtis Reed and Jack Wilson both fell for her but it was Curtis who won out in the end. Laura was a thrill-seeker who had disdain for authority. She enjoyed pulling crazy stunts and an infatuated Curtis was only too happy to come along for the ride. They made the front pages of the local newspaper when they got themselves locked into a sports shop after-hours and were recorded on CCTV messing around in the store. Laura and Curtis also stole Alf's car and went for a joyride, narrowly missing a speeding train.
Laura's luck ran out when she decided on impulse to run across a moving train's path at a level crossing. She was killed instantly. Her death affected Curtis badly and he began drinking heavily for a time after this.

In 1997, Jenna Evans came to Summer Bay. She looked remarkably similar to Laura (probably because she was played by the same actress!). Curtis fell for her and left town with her.
