Backstory[]
Kirsty Sutherland was born on the 27th November 1986 to Rhys and Shelley Sutherland. She grew up believing she was the twin sister of Jade Sutherland. She later learned that there was a mix up at the hospital where she had been born. Her real parents were John and Helen DeGroot and their daughter Laura DeGroot was Rhys and Shelley's biological child. Kirsty had a blood sister Dani Sutherland.
2000-2005[]
Kirsty and her brood bought Summer Bay House in 2000 and moved in, becoming the new family of the famous local house. Kirsty started dating Kane Phillips. In February 2003, Donald Fisher caught Kirsty and Seb Miller, Don's grandson, almost having a tryst.
2008-2009[]
Kirsty had a relationship with Miles Copeland.
